要約等
<p>This study investigated the reaction kinetics of calcium hydroxide (Ca(OH)2) with carbon dioxide (CO2) at 180°C, near the maximum operating temperature range of bag-filter systems. Experiments revealed that Ca(OH)2 reacts with CO2 to form predominantly crystalline calcium carbonate (CaCO3). Higher CO2 and H2O concentrations enhanced the conversion. Kinetic analysis using the unreacted core model indicated that the rate-controlling step shifted from surface reaction control to diffusion control in the product layer. Higher H2O concentrations increased the effective diffusion coefficient and delayed this transition. This shift is attributed to surface coverage and plugging of fine pores of Ca(OH)2 by the formation of a CaCO3 layer, which increases diffusion resistance in the product layer. H2O concentration may also affect the pore structure of the formed CaCO3. These findings suggest that Ca(OH)2 in flue gas treatment systems can be potentially utilized for simultaneous CO2 capture at high temperatures.</p>
