Note (General): 新校舎建築にともない構状土坑4基・土坑1基・ピット1基・自然流路跡1条を検出した。遺物は奈良平安期の須恵器片・土師器片を中心として、珠洲焼や瀬戸美濃など中世陶磁器片が、出土した。カク乱が広範囲にかつ、深く入っており、元々の土層（遺物包含層V層を含む）が喪失していることもあって、良好な出土状況の遺物は唯一の遺物集中域だけである。　むしろ、平成23年の温室移転にともなう緊急調査では、遺構は検出されなかったが、土師器甕8点・須恵器杯5点など多くの遺物の出土が確認された。土層上では、基盤砂礫層の直上の砂質土から出土し、近隣の集落遺跡から持ち込まれたものでなければ、流路内か、それに伴う二次堆積遺物の可能性が高いと考えられる。遺物の損傷が少ないので、二次堆積遺物としても、近傍の集落遺跡から流失したと推測されるので、集落が近くに所在したことを示唆する。　併せて平成2年（1990）ごろ、食品加工実習棟建築に先行して行われた発掘調査の出土遺物を整理し、竪穴住居跡1軒・土坑3基などについて報告した。弥生末期の櫛描文を施す甕類や、赤彩をもつ高杯・器台などの出土が確認される。弥生終末期～古墳初頭（北信地域の古墳出現期）の土器を検討する上で、好例の資料・遺跡である。
