Note (General): 今回報告する3 遺跡では、縄文時代から古墳時代に至る遺構や遺物を確認した。縄文時代では釜ノ口遺跡10 次調査において縄文時代早期と思われる石鏃や晩期の土器が出土した。弥生時代では3 遺跡より竪穴建物をはじめ、溝や土坑などが確認された。このうち、9 次調査検出の溝からは豊後地方や西南四国地方からの搬入品を含む大量の土器や石器のほか、杓子状木製品や竪杵、平鍬などの木器や種子が数多く出土した。また、11 次調査検出の自然流路からは松山平野では初例となる木製の机が出土している。古墳時代では、9 次調査と10 次調査において溝や土坑が検出されたが、同地区における該期の遺構の検出は稀薄であり、古墳時代の集落様相を解明するうえで貴重な資料といえよう。このように、大量の木製品が出土する釜ノ口遺跡は、弥生時代後期の重要な集落のひとつであり、今後、更なる集落様相や構造解明が必要となろう。
