大泉中里遺跡（練馬区No.17 遺跡）は、白子川右岸の台地上に立地する遺跡である。これまで調査の結果、旧石器時代、縄文時代早期後半・中期後半の遺構と遺物が確認されている。今回の第五次調査においては、旧石器時代、縄文時代早期後半・中期後半、奈良・平安時代、近世以降の遺構・遺物が確認された。　旧石器時代では、関東ローム層Ⅳ層下部からⅤ層上部において３基の遺物集中部が検出され、多量の礫とともに、黒曜石製の石器が出土した。縄文時代早期後半では、竪穴建物跡、炉穴群等が検出され、主に条痕文系土器が出土した。縄文時代中期後半では、竪穴建物跡、土坑、集石等が検出され、主に加曽利E3からE4 式土器が出土した。奈良・平安時代では遺構は検出されなかったが、包含層から「田」の刻書を有する須恵器坏が出土した。近世以降では、ピット列、畝状遺構等の耕作痕が検出された。
