中国の大都市における短期的および長期的な大気環境変動の実態解明調査を行った。北京五輪開催に関連した環境規制により、大気粉じん中硫酸イオン濃度は40%減少した。長期的変動に関しては、2005年から2009年にかけて中国北京市における大気中二酸化硫黄濃度は約30%減少した。大気粉じん中硫酸イオン濃度は暖房期20%、非暖房期50%と減少割合が季節によって異なっており、これは気象条件に加えオキシダント濃度の変化が影響していると考えられた。
