当教室で開発された定量的質量分析イメージング(Q-IMS)を用いて脳内の解剖学的分布を含めて代謝物のプロファイリングを行った。また, 複数の個体におけるQ-IMSのデータを効率的に比較する技術の応用に関して論文発表を行った。水素の脳梗塞巣到達経路解明のためにコンピュータシミュレーションと水素電極による水素濃度の測定を行った。単純拡散で水素が梗塞部位に到達している可能性が示唆された。この仮説を検証するために気相からの距離を変化させ, 各部位での水素濃度を測定したが, マウスの脳では小さ過ぎたため, 有用な結果が得られなかった。 To elucidate the molecular target of hydrogen, we compared multiple metabolites between stroke model mice treated with hydrogen inhalation or control. We have published a research paper on the utilization of this technology. To elucidate how the hydrogen molecule reach the stroke area, we have performed computer simulation in combination with actual measurements of hydrogen in the brain. These results suggested simple diffusion of hydrogen gas. To confirm this finding, we measured the hydrogen concentration in locations with different distances from the air way in the brain. This did not give meaning full results mainly because the size of brain was too small in mice.
