多孔性配位高分子は，金属イオンが有機配位子によって架橋されることで構築されるフレームワークを持っており，内部での有機配位子は回転運動等の高い自由度を有する．本研究では，その運動の様子を誘電率として観測し，気体吸蔵に伴う骨格構造の変化を電気信号変化として検出するような，誘電・吸着複合材料の開発に取り組んだ．複数の配位骨格に対する誘電率測定の結果から，ガス吸着と同期した構造変化を伴う化合物が，誘電・吸着複合材料として有望である事が明らかになった．
One of the striking features of porous coordination polymers is their flexibility inside pores. It is well known that organic molecule shows high mobility when no steric hindrance exists around them, and in PCP, enough space for organic ligand to mobile is available because of its porous nature. In this study, we tried to develop novel dielectric materials controlled by gas adsorption, in which molecular motion accompanied with gas adsorption can be detected as electric signals. It was revealed from the dielectric measurement for several frameworks that the compounds showing structural phase transition synchronized with gas adsorption, i.e., gate-opening, are promising material for dielectric materials controlled by gas adsorption.
