本研究は、ジェンダー統計研究の視角から、以下の3つの課題に取り組んだ。(1)男女間賃金格差の指標のあり方および主要な分析手法である要因分解手法の意義と限界を検討し、(2)性別賃金統計の国際比較性等の統計品質を吟味した上で男女間賃金格差の国際比較を、低賃金層のジェンダー分析も加味して、行い、日本を位置づけた。(3)日本とEUの賃金構造統計調査についてジェンダー視点から検討した。
This research project examines statistical methods of the gender pay gap from the viewpoint of gender statistics. (1) It reviews the better indicators to reflect the gender pay gap and examines both a virtue and inherent limitations of the statistical or econometric methods of the gender pay gap. (2) It undertakes international comparisons of the gender pay gap, with consideration of the low wage earners, after carefully examining of statistical quality of the wage surveys. (3) It examines wage surveys of Japan and EU from the viewpoint of gender statistics.
