• Note (General): 本報告は、平成12年度の日本原子力研究所(原研)と日本原子力発電株式会社(原電)との共同研究で行った「モジュール型高温ガス炉に関する研究(その3)」のうち、将来型ブロック型炉における黒鉛ブロックの処分方法の検討結果を示すものである。具体的には、燃料体黒鉛ブロック及び反射体黒鉛の放射化量を評価し、低レベル放射性廃棄物としての埋設処理の可能性を検討した。その結果、固形化した廃棄物の埋設上限濃度を超える核種はC-14のみであり、その量を正確に評価するためには黒鉛中に含まれる空気の量を評価することが重要であるとの知見を得た。また、使用済燃料を燃料体の形で貯蔵を行う場合、取出し後2年を経過すれば自然空冷でも燃料を十分冷却できることがわかった。; This report describes the result of study on disposal method of graphite blocks in future block-type reactor. Present study was carried out within a framework of joint research, "Research of Modular High Temperature Gas-cooled Reactors (No. 3)", between Japan Atomic Energy Research Institute (JAERI) and the Japan Atomic Power Company (JAPCO), in 2000. In this study, activities in fuel and reflector graphite blocks were evaluated and were compared with the disposal limits defined as low-level of radioactive waste. As a result, it was found that the activity for only C-14 was higher than disposal limits for the low-level of radioactive waste and that the amount of air in the graphite is important to evaluate precisely of C-14 activity. In addition, spent fuels can be stored in air-cooled condition at least after two years cooling in the storage pool.
