Written by Wu Jizhi (Jpn., Go Keishi). This edition was once owned by Satsuma Fugaku (Satsuma College). Published in 1837. The book describes the scientific names, the way of use, and the medicinal effects of 160 species of plants grown in Satsuma, the Tokara Islands, and the Ryukyus, based on the information given by a Chinese herbal medicine scholar, who was provided the drawings and biological information of these plants. The first part is about plants used for oral medicine, the second part is about plants used for topical medicine, and the supplement is about 22 epidemic species which were not transplantable at that time. For more details, see Yakuchū Shitsumon Honzō (Yōju Shorin, 2002). (Updated on August 3, 2015)
