• 要約等: application/pdf; In America, many wonderful properties of ductile titanium have been unveiled and its production has been industrialized. But, in Japan, the study on titanium has been very poor. We attempted to prepare ductile titanium from TiO_2 and determined the conditions for its preparation. First, we made TiCl_2 by heating the mixed powder of TiO_2 and carbon in the stream of dry Cl_2 gas under various conditions. Next, by Hunter process, we obtained metallic Ti of 99.23% purity. And then, we tried a modified Kroll process, by which we reduced TiCl_4 with molten Mg in H_2 atmosphere, but could not prepare ductile titanium. At last, we succeeded in making ductile titanium by iodide process.; 紀要類(bulletin); 495429 bytes
