一般注記我が国では国民皆保険制度のサステナビリティが脅かされている。一方、市区町村には予防医療プログラムを実施し、疾病負荷の削減、健康寿命の延伸、医療費の適正化を通じて、地域医療のサステナビリティ高めることが期待されている。中には創意工夫をこらした革新的な予防医療プログラムを実施している例もある。本研究では、財政影響分析、費用効果分析、需要関数の推定を通じて、市区町村による予防医療プログラムが地域医療のサステナビリティを高めているか否かを明らかにした。主な成果としては、地域で検体測定室でのHbA1c測定プログラムへの助成が将来の医療費の削減に繋がることなど、国際学術誌9報の学術論文発表を行った。
The sustainability of Japan’s universal health coverage, the mandatory social health insurance system, is threated, while municipalities are expected to increase it through implementing preventive healthcare programs, which lessen disease burden, prolong healthy life expectancy and contain healthcare expenditure. Some devise innovative programs. This project examined whether municipalities preventive healthcare programs increase the sustainability by budget impact analyses, cost-effectiveness analyses and demand function estimation. One of the major findings was a subsidy program for a walk-in HbA1c test in a community pharmacy would results in decreasing health care expenditure in the mid to long run. Nine original contributions were published in international academic journals.
