一般注記We are going to launch the new project at FIR-FU ? development of an ultra high sensitive MMR (ESR) microscope ? Magnetic Resonance ? Force Microscopy (MR-FM) ?instrument, which is specialized to the nano-micro scale material measurement. The detection of magnetic resonance signal is attained by the mechanical vibration of Si-Cantilever instead of a coil or cavity, which is conventionally developed for STM. The force sensitivity is directly proportional to the magnetization of electron spin and resonance frequency, thus the application of far-infrared region RF wave is greatly beneficial to MR-FM. Our first destination is to measure the DPPH signal at the X-band frequency; Then the next landmark is to increase the RF frequency up to 100 GHz.
