一般注記The focusing of THz waves onto sub-wavelength areas is a crucial issue both for THZ spectroscopy of minute samples and for high-resolution THz-imaging , Recently, super-focusing phenomena of THz waves using tapered metallic waveguiding structures are being actively studied,both tbeoretica11y and experimentally. In this report,we present our experimental studies on the THz-wave super-focusing effect in a V -groove metallic structure having an opening angle of 20 degrees. Without using a Si focusing lens,a 20-micron bottom-width was shown to have a good THz transmission efficiency without significant waveform distortion and phase delay
