並列タイトル等Realistic Appearance Reproduction by Optical See-Through Head-Mounted Display based on Light Measurement and Modulation
一般注記Reproducing realistic appearance for virtual objects displayed in optical see-through head-mounted displays (OST-HMDs) facilitates Augmented Reality (AR) and vision augmentation applications. Conventional OST-HMD technologies are, however, still limited to reproducing the objects' appearance, such as their contrast and depth of field (DoF). The limitation arises because the displays' imaging process ignores the rich information of the light entering or leaving the eye. In this dissertation, I thus propose an OST-HMD system that addresses the above limitation by directly measuring or modulating the light entering or leaving the eye. My technology basis includes DoF reproduction in an occlusion-capable OST-HMD, first-person contrast enhancement via the OST-HMD based on the measurement of light entering the eye using co-axial optics and applications in first-person dehazing.
