The TEAM problem 18 has been analyzed by several researchers by the finite element method in the frequency domain. However, analysis using other methods and detailed comparison on the accuracy of solution has not been carried out. Therefore, it seems important to analyze by using other methods. In this paper, the TEAM problem 18 has been analyzed by the FDTD method in the time domain. In the analysis, the edge condition is used at the edges of iris to obtain more accurate fields. Also, Berenger's perfectly matched layer is used. The variation of solution is also investigated by varying the numbers of division. Resonant frequencies and Q factor are obtained in both two and three dimensional space. These FDTD results were compared with FEM ones. The similar results to the FE analyses were obtained.
