申請者は, 当資金の採択を受け, 人の移動が言語使用と意識に与える影響を解明すべく, 5月に中国広東省, 7月・12月に韓国ソウル, 9・11月に中国吉林省で中国朝鮮族を対象とした談話, インタビュー, 質問紙調査を実施した。
調査の結果, 言語使用に関しては, ソウル在住の話者の場合, 発話形式という観点からみると, 概ねソウル方言化が進んでいるが, 中には助詞や活用形, 語彙の使用など, 中国朝鮮語の影響を大きく受けた言語使用がみられるほか, 特定表現の過剰使用, 語彙の修正, 外来語の回避, 単文の羅列, 繰り返し, 言いよどみの多用など, ソウル方言への適応が難しいと思われる言語現象も複数確認された。このうちあるものは発話命題の伝達そのものに大きな支障を与えるものではないが, あるものはコミュニケーションに大きな支障をもたらす可能性があるものである。
また, 言語意識に関しては, 広東省とソウルに在住する朝鮮族を比較した場合, 言語能力への自己評価は, 広東省では中国朝鮮語と漢語で高く, ソウルでは韓国語で高いこと, 聞いて理解するのが難しい韓国語の有無は両地域とも「ある」との回答が多いものの, その比率は, 広東省で高く, ソウルで低いこと, 今後重要な言語は, 両地域とも韓国語を選択する被験者が多い一方で, 子供への中国朝鮮語教育については, 両地域とも「必ず教えたい」という被験者が多いといった事実が明らかになった。
以上の結果から, 大きな傾向として, 朝鮮族の国内, 国外への移動は, 言語の使用や意識に一定の変化を与えるものの, 母語としての変種の影響も比較的大きく受けており, 意識の面でも朝鮮族としての帰属意識が高度に維持されていることが明らかになった。
なお, 当期間の研究成果は, 1回の国際学会での発表, 5本の論本掲載として公開した。
In order to clarify the influence of human movement on the use of language and consciousness, the applicant accepted the funds, and conducted discourse, interview and questionnaire survey for the Chinese Korean tribes in Guangdong Province in China in May, Seoul, Korea in July and December, Jilin Province in China in September and November.
As a result of the survey, regarding the language use, in the case of speakers living in Seoul, from the viewpoint of speech form, the Seoul dialect has been generally advancing, but there is seen some use of the language which has been greatly influenced by Chinese Korean language, such as the use of particles, usage forms, vocabulary, etc., and in addition, there were recognized multiple verbal phenomena in which adaptation to Seoul dialect seems to be difficult, such as excessive use of specific expressions, correction of vocabulary, avoidance of borrowed words, listing of simple sentences, repetition, frequent use of disfluencies. Some of them do not greatly interfere with the transmission of utterance propositions themselves, but some have the potential to pose major hindrances to communication.
Further, when comparison was conducted among the Korean tribes living in Guangdong Province and Seoul, regarding language consciousness, the following facts became apparent; self-assessment to language ability was high in Chinese Korean and Chinese in Guangdong province, and was high in Korean in Seoul ; although there were many responses of "Presence" in both areas for the question whether presence or absence of Korean which is difficult to understand by listening, the ratio was high in Guangdong Province, low in Seoul, and there were many subjects who selected Korean for important language in both areas ; on the other hand, there are many subjects who "want to teach at any cost" about Chinese-Korean language education for children in both areas.
Based on the above results, as a big trend, movement of the Korean tribe to the inside and outside the country gives a certain change to the use and consciousness of the language, but the influence of the variation as the mother tongue is also relatively large. However, it became clear that the sense of belonging as the Korean group was maintained at a high level.
In addition, the results of the research in this period were released as one annual presentation at the international conference, and five thesis postings.
