This paper contains a report on data transmission and control in a computer complex, for real time simulation, which is constructed with five minicomputers. One computer, No.0 Computer, controls the input-output bus circuit which broadcasts data and commands to the other computers. The user can produce task-programs without consideration to input-output instructions to the other computers. The linkage editor identifies and classifies the variables to be transmitted. It also generates control information with which the No.0 Computer transmits variables and edits them for the analog-digital, digital-analog converter. The supervisor, which is in No.0 Computer, repeats communications at intervals of 10 ms with the real time system monitor in the other computers. A method for broadcast-burst data transmission, generation of control information and synchronization of the computers are described.
