一般注記The Bray-Moss-Libby model with an improved laminar flamelet model was applied to a turbulent premixed V-flame to confirm validity of the model as well as to investigated influence of flame-thickening on the turbulence structure of the flame. The V-flame is approximated as a circumferentially one-dimensional flame in a cylindrical coordinate. There appear various additional terms in the governing equations for such a flame in comparison with those for a planar flame with constant thickness. Because of the new term, a model for the mean reaction rate, which is not necessary for a constant thickness flame, is introduced. The other terms are closed using the same model as that for a constant thickness flame. The calculated profiles of the mean velocity, the turbulent diffusion flux, and the Reynolds stress agree very well with those measured by Cheng. The prediction is compared to that for a constant thickness flame with the same upstream conditions. In the V-flame, the flame-generated turbulence is significantly suppressed by a decrease in magnitude of mean pressure gradient, whereas the counter-gradient diffusion flux governed by acceleration across laminar flamelets is almost unchanged.
