• 一般注記: type:text; [ABSTRACT] Vertical profiles of aerosols and clouds have been observed with a compact vertically looking Mie scattering lidar in Tsukuba, Japan. The lidar system employs a second harmonics Nd: YAG laser and a receiving telescope with a diameter of 35 cm. The system is installed in a container with a window on the loof, and it can be operated even it rains. We have started observation with the lidar in June 1996, and we have been observing vertical profile of aerosols and clouds continuously over Tsukuba. Typical diurnal variation of the atmospheric boundary layer structure and changes with longer time scales are observed. We have recently started similar observation in Jakarta, Indonesia.
