一般注記A unique plasma generation device AIT-PID is developed for PWI (Plasma-Wall Interaction) studies toward fusion reactor. It has a power-saving characteristics as well as some compactness by employing multicusp magnetic field configuration instead of strong axial magnetic field. The helium as well as argon plasmas are generated, showing an outstanding property of production of hot electron component which can be controlled by changing the working gas pressure. An azimuthally asymmetric confinement depending on the direction of magnetic field lines, particularly for energetic electrons has been found. Some discussions on the physical mechanisms are represented.
