一般注記"The whole of the earlier chapters of this book were written by the late Mr. Cornelius Walford, the author of the first two editions of the Insurance guide and hand-book. The latter part of chapter VI, and chapters VII, VIII and XI, were from the pen of Mr. A. W. Tarn, F.I.A., and originally appeared in the fourth edition of the Insurance guide and hand-book, edited by him and published in 1900.
