一般注記In this study, we focused on atmospheric pressure plasma treatment as a care method after implantation. We investigated its effect after implantation of titanium implants on the ability to induce hard tissue differentiation and antibacterial properties of rat bone marrow cells. A commercially available JIS2 grade titanium material polished to # 2000 was used as the experimental sample. After collecting bone marrow mesenchymal cells from the bilateral femurs of seven-week-old male Sprague-Dawley rats, a primary culture was established and the third generation was used for the experiment. For the experimental group, the piezo brush was continuously irradiated, and the untreated group was the target group. We examined markers related to various hard tissue differentiation inductions. Next, the Staphylococcus aureus was cultivated on the surface of the material for 24 hours after sowing. The one treated with atmospheric pressure plasma was used as the experimental group, and the untreated one was used as the control group; the Colony Forming Unit (CFU) was measured. Markers related to the induction of hard tissue differentiation showed significantly higher values for the experimental group. It was clarified that atmospheric pressure plasma treatment of titanium improves the ability to induce hard tissue differentiation after implant placement. In addition, microbiology experiments confirmed the high antibacterial properties of the experimental group. This study demonstrates that atmospheric pressure plasma treatment may be an important method for preventing the onset of peri-implantitis as a method of care after implant placement.
