"The said dictionary is part of a Persian work entitled Al-Murshid fī al-Ḥisāb (Accounting guidebook), which was written in 691/1292 by someone by the name of Ḥasan b. ʿAlī for one of the greatest viziers of the Mongol period, Ṣadr al-Dīn Aḥmad Khālidī Zanjānī, also known by the appellation Ṣadr-i Jahān. Zanjānī was first appointed to the office by the Mongol Ilkhan, Gīkhātu (reigned 1291-1295), in 692/1293, and the book Al-Murshid fī al-Ḥisāb was dedicated to him a year after his ministerial appointment." -- Introduction
