津山藩主森家の盛衰を記したもの。内容は、「森家先祖中将記」（ＫＷ２８８／２０）・「美作国主森家盛衰記」（ＫＷ２８８／２２）・「美作国主森家盛衰記」（ＫＷ２８８／２６）とほぼ同様であるが、本書は、４代藩主森長成（ながなり）が没した後、末期養子（まつごようし）として立てた衆利（あつとし）（１６７３〜１７０５）が、江戸へ下る途中、桑名で乱心した部分以降を欠いている。破本。なお、表紙は、昭和１０年（１９３５）に池ヶ原（現津山市池ヶ原）の大岡忠友が付けたもの。（文責：岡山県立図書館）
