岡山藩士八田弥惣右衛門篤則（１６６１〜１７２４）著。正徳元年（１７１１）と同５年の２度にわたり、幕府役人の問いに応じて岡山城の由来、築法、地勢などについて著述したもの。明治時代の郷土史研究家塚本吉彦（１８３９〜１９１６）の写本。奥書に、明治２６年（１８９３）２月２５日に黍丘山人出石郷居士莞（塚本）が八名氏の所蔵本を借りて写したと記している。塚本は著者を「実名篤則」とし「寛永１４年生」としているが、父八田弥惣右衛門正伸（寛永１４〜正徳３年）との勘違いと思われる。『新編吉備叢書』第二巻所収の「岡山城私考」参照。（文責：岡山県立図書館）
