Note (General): この報告書は、平成27年2月に開催された和歌山地域経済研究機構主催による第4回交通まちづくりシンポジウムを取りまとめたものである。このシンポジウムは、同機構の「和歌山市交通まちづくり研究会」が平成24年度より取り組んできた広域交通網の活用方策や改善方策に関する研究の総まとめとして開催されたものであり、まず同研究会所属の4名より「広域交通網の概況」「広域交通網を活かした観光のあり方」「関西国際空港を活用した和歌山市の発展について」「広域交通網と防災・災害時物流」とのテーマで研究報告が行われた。その後、同機構理事をコーディネータとして、研究会参加者6名によるパネルディスカッション「広域交通網を活かした和歌山市の発展方向」が展開された。
