Note (General): 有毒金属への幼少期からの暴露による心代謝疾患予後を調べた研究は少ない。本研究は末梢血の免疫細胞タイプおよび心代謝疾患バイオマーカーに対するヒ素とカドミウムの慢性曝露の影響を評価することを目的とした。妊婦を対象に実施された栄養補てん試験の出生コホートにて15歳時の評価を行った。尿中総ヒ素濃度とカドミウム濃度をHVG-AASで測定した。末梢血単核球を分離しフローサイトメトリーによる表現型解析を行った。本結果からバングラデシュ農村部の15歳の青少年における慢性ヒ素曝露は、細胞性免疫反応のアンバランスと関連しており、また血漿脂質の変化とも関連していることが示唆された。
Few studies have examined cardiometabolic disease prognosis from childhood exposure to toxic metals. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of chronic exposure to arsenic and cadmium on immune cell types and cardiometabolic disease biomarkers in peripheral blood. The study was evaluated at age 15 in a birth cohort of a nutritional supplementation trial conducted on pregnant women. Urinary total arsenic and cadmium concentrations were measured by HVG-AAS. Peripheral blood mononuclear cells were isolated and phenotypically analyzed by flow cytometry. The results suggest that chronic arsenic exposure in 15-year-old adolescents in rural Bangladesh is associated with an imbalance in the cellular immune response and also with changes in plasma lipids.
