研究概要：研究では経営戦略論的視角からの実証分析を行い、成功した中小企業は問題解決活動を通じたノウハウの蓄積（直接ルート）と、日常業務活動を通した副次的なノウハウの蓄積（業務ルート)をうまくミックスさせながら情報的資源を蓄積しているという特徴を確認した。また管理者の管理責任行動については、コーチング・マネジメントを取上げアンケート調査などから、コーチングによりTQM活動で必要とされるコア・コンピテンシーが強化されること、さらに「参加と協働」の強化にも繋がる示唆が得られた。またTQM活動を組織学習論の立場から検討することを考え、Marchにより提案された相互学習モデルについてコンピュータ・シミュレーションと、理論的な検討を行い、このモデルの基本的特徴を明確にした。
