研究概要（和文）：高齢者は身体・精神および心理社会学的にもストレスフルな環境下にある。そこで本研究は，地域支援事業に参加する地域高齢者の精神健康と唾液中ストレス関連指標との関連から検討を行い，地域高齢者の生きがい感について検討を行った。その結果，地域後期高齢者の社会的健康度の維持・向上を図る上で、身体的・社会的・精神的側面から統合的アプローチの取り組みの必要性が示唆された。
研究概要（英文）：The elderly people are under stressful circumstances in the biological, physical, psychological, and sociological aspects. Then, this study performed examination from the relation of the mental health of the local elderly people who participate in a local support service, and the stress related index in saliva. Finally, we examined local elderly people's well-being. The results suggest the importance of an integrated physical, social, and mental approach to maintaining and improving the social health of later stage elderly people.
