研究概要（和文）：本研究は、1950年代後半から日米政府が展開した沖縄援助政策に焦点を当て、そこに込められた政治的な意図を分析した。それは、沖縄社会で高まった占領批判を沈静化し、米軍基地の安定的な使用を担保するために必要とされるものであった。その政策は、米海兵隊が日本本土から沖縄に移駐し、基地問題が沖縄へと集中していく過程と同時並行的に展開されたのである。その論理は、復帰後の日本政府による開発政策へとつながっていくものでもあった。
研究概要（英文） : This research focused on economic aid politics of U.S. and Japan to Okinawa from the late 1950’s. By these politics U.S. and Japan intended to cool down the criticism against the Occupation and to ensure the long-range use of Military Bases in Okinawa. In the late 1950’s Marine bases moved from mainland Japan to Okinawa, while economic aid politics executed in Okinawa. These politics provided the Okinawa development policy of Japanese Government in the post-reversion era.
