研究概要（和文）：2007年11月から2008年2月に実施した沖縄県宜野湾市在住の80歳以上の高齢者197人を対象とした生活習慣および血清中栄養素と健康度に関する調査をベースラインとし、身体的機能や認知機能に関する2年間のフォローアップ調査を実施した。1年後の認知機能と血漿ホモシステイン、血清ビタミンB_<12> および葉酸とに関連がみられなかったが、2年後の認知機能と血清ビタミンB_<12> とには有意な関連が見られた。
研究概要（英文） : The follow-up assessments of physical and cognitive function were administrated approximately 1-year and 2-year after baseline assessment of health, nutritional status and lifestyles conducted among the noninstitutionalized elderly people aged 80 years or older in November 2007 to February 2008. There was no relationship between cognitive decline over 1-year and plasma homocysteine, serum vitaminB_<12> and folate concentration at baseline. Cognitive decline over 2-year, however, was related with serum vitaminB_<12> concentration.
