本研究は、18歳選挙権導入後の長崎県における主権者教育の取り組み、現状と課題を研究対象としている。青少年の政治的リテラシーや社会参加意識を育む「主権者教育」について取り上げる。今後の主権者教育の定着及び質的向上のため、将来的には長崎県内における主権者教育コンテンツの開発を目指す。　本年度は長崎県内における18歳選挙導入後の県内の若者の投票率の状況、大村市を中心に県内高校生向けの主権者教育の実践について、高校教員・NPO等の主権者教育実施者への聞き取り調査による教育成果及び実践・運営上の課題の把握、国内外の先進事例調査を実施を実施した。　本年度の成果として、18歳選挙権導入後の投票率の動向、県内高校生向け主権者教育の実践や課題の一部を報告した。最終的には、本研究で得られた成果を統合し、長崎独自の主権者教育モデルの提示、教育コンテンツ開発のためのガイドラインを作り、将来のビジョンとして提言していく予定である。
