本研究の目的は、分子標的薬治療中で有害事象を伴う肺がん患者の生活体験を明らかにすることである。対象はCTCAEグレード1～2の男性5名、女性12名の計17名で、平均年齢は69.2歳であった。半構成的面接法を用いたインタビューを実施し質的に内容を分析した。治療による有害事象を伴う生活体験は、生活行動の制約や生活動作の不便さ、社会的活動の減少、苦痛・不快感や睡眠の妨げに分類された。分子標的薬治療の有害事象である下痢、皮膚粘膜・爪症状の出現は、患者の日常生活行動や社会的側面に影響を及ぼし、さらには、有害事象による苦痛や不快感から睡眠や気分の落ち込みなどの精神的健康面に影響することが示唆された。調査は継続中であり有害事象に伴う個々の生活体験の分析を重ね看護支援を検討する。
