近年、コンピュータを用いて写真画像から非写実的な画像を生成するノンフォトリアリスティックレンダリング（以下、NPR）という技術が注目されている。NPRをアニメーションに適用すると、ちらつきとシャワードア効果が問題となることが知られている。そこで、本研究においてちらつきとシャワードア効果を軽減したNPRのアニメーションを生成する方法を開発した。また、新しいタイプのフィルタを開発し，NPRへ拡張した。また、NPRのフィルタ処理の高速化の方法を開発した。また、新しいタイプのフィルタを開発してNPRのアニメーションへ拡張した。また、生成されるアニメーションの視覚効果を評価するために、被験者による主観評価を実施した。さらに、情報システム学部の2年の学生が本研究に参加して、プログラムの作成やアニメーションの評価を行った。
