A大学看護学科学生を対象に，グループワークに対する感情やイメージ，個人特性について無記名自記式調査票を用いて調査・分析し，特にグループワーク指向性、対人関係ストレスと個人特性との関連性について検討した．対人ストレスイベント頻度とネガティブストレスコーピングには有意な負の相関があり，それらがグループワークに対する感情や指向性にも負の影響を与えていた．特に神経質傾向が強く，他の学生よりも自尊感情が低い学生では顕著であった．反対に，調和性が高く，コミュニケーションスキルにおいて，傾聴や共感，表出などができると自己評価している学生は，対人ストレス頻度が少なくポジティブなストレスコーピングをとり，グループワークが好きと回答していた．対人ストレスイベントとストレスコーピングには，学年間で差があり，それぞれの学年で実施されているグループワークの内容や方法の経験が影響しており、それが指向性とも関連していると推察できた．
