量子コンピュータや量子暗号に代表される量子情報処理では，その処理において意図した量子状態が準備されることが重要である．もし，雑音などの影響で意図した量子状態が準備されない場合，理論通りの処理を行うことができない．よって，準備された量子状態が意図した量子状態であるかを調べる量子状態推定が必要不可欠となる．量子状態推定として，SIC-POVMが最適な方法であることが知られている．しかし，SIC-POVMの理論的な構成方法は一般的には知られていない．本研究では，量子情報処理の今後のさらなる発展に向けて，比較的シンプルな方法（数学の言葉を使うとGram–Schmidt直交化法やユニタリ変換など）のみを用いて一般化SIC-POVMおよび量子ビット系におけるSIC-POVMの構成法を示した
