これまで厚生労働省から公表されている離職率統計は全国ベースのみであり、そもそも都道府県別データの公表がないため、都道府県別の分析は全くなされていなかった。厚生労働省の担当官から、各労働局から協力が得られれば、集計が可能になるとのヒアリングを手掛かりに、47都道府県の労働局にデータの依頼を行った。高校卒業者の離職率データで最大30都道府県、大学卒業者の離職率データで28都道府県からデータの提供を受けた。それぞれ過去10年でみると、高校卒業者の離職率データが26.5都道府県、大学卒業者の離職率データが24.8都道府県から協力を得られたことになる。長崎県のほか、高知県、石川県などからは20年以上のデータが得られている。今後は協力依頼を継続しながら、得られたデータで回帰分析を行いたい。
