Note (General): Cu2+ ions in the azurite Cu3(CO3)2(OH)2 form the diamond-chain, which is one of the geometrically frustrated spin chain model. We have measured the magnetic susceptibility and high-field magnetization of the single crystal of azurite. It was found that the spin gap was not present, which suggests that the ground state of the azurite is in the tetramer-dimer phase.
