Note (General): A review of main results of the subterahertz and Terahertz gyrodevices at the FIR FU (Fukui, Japan) and IAP RAS (Nizhny Novgorod, Russia) has been presented. The frequencies of radiation higher than 1 THz have been obtained at pulse operation regime. The CW generation at 2.2 kW power level was generated in 300 - GHz gyrotron. Gyrotrons operated at cyclotron harmonics demonstrate single-model operation at second cyclotron harmonic with the frequency 395 GHz/100W/CW and at third harmonic with the frequencies of 371 GHz and 414 GHz at 10 kW power level. Promising ideas for smooth frequency tuning and selective excitation of high cyclotron harmonics are discussed.
