Note (General): To know the characteristic of 300 GHz Gyrotron FU CW I , we have measured the radiation pattern of the output beam from the gyrotron window by using an IR camera . We have also calculated the output power at the cavity exit with a mode competition code . By companing the results of the measurment and the calculation , oscillation modes of FU CW I were identified . Moreover , it has been found that the mode identification is easily achieved with an IR camera by using the fact that the direction of the radiation beam from the gyrotron window is related to m/x'm,n the Oscillation mode in the cavity for the gyrotron including a mode converter .
