Note (General): 本研究の目的は,脳梗塞発症2週時のBerg balance scale(BBS)が急性期病院退院時のバランス能力,日常生活動作(activities of daily living:ADL)能力に関連するかを明らかにし,さらに在宅退院か他施設へ転院かを予測することができるかを検討することである.2007年1月から2009年1月までに脳梗塞を発症した231名のうち,入院時のNational Institutes of Health Stroke Scale(NIHSS),2週時のBBS,急性期病院退院時のBBS, Functional Independence Measure(FIM),modified Rankin scale(mRS),急性期病院の在院日数,退院時の転帰をカルテより抽出できた79名について解析を行った.2週時BBSは退院時BBSや退院時FIM,退院時mRSと有意に高い相関を示しており,さらにreceiver operating characteristic(ROC)曲線より在宅退院と予測される2週時BBSのカットオフ値は40点であった.脳梗塞発症後2週時のBBSから急性期病院の退院先を予測できる可能性が示された.
