Note (General): Slurry wear tests were conducted using ductile material pure aluminum A1070BD-F pure copper C1020 and stainless casting steel SCS6, brittle material casting iron FC250 and reference material austenitic stainless steel SUS304. A slurry jet apparatus was used for the wear test. The flow velocity of the slurry was 10m/s, the slurry concentration was 1 weight percent, the impingement angles were 90 degrees. Moreover, the trajectory of particles was analyzed using STAR-CD. The prediction equation of impingement angle dependence was derived from the trajectory analysis of particle and the surface profile at an impingement angle of 90 degrees. The analytical results are compared with the test results. The test results can be estimated well by the prediction equation.
