Note (General): The basic research on the industrial production of nonwoven and paper materials consisting of nano fiber by using an electrospinning method was carried out to make a uniform nonwoven without thickness distribution for the following preparation conditions : (1) rotation of target (substrate) drum, (2) quantity-controlled syringe pump and (3) traverse motion of nozzle. To industrialize the nano fiber by the electrospinning method, multi nozzle system was superior to a simple increase in the flow rate in the manufacturing process. The solution concentration was an important factor for the precise control of the diameter of electrospun nano fiber. Moreover, the structural control of nano fiber-based materials from paper to nonwoven became possible by simply changing the solution concentration. In the case of making PLA (poly(lactic acid))nano fiber, a solvent combination ratio of 8 to 2 of chloroform/ dimethylformamide by weight was most suitable at an 8 wt% polymer concentration.
