Note (General): This paper deals with the potential of education to bridge research, social movement and generations. I have been in charge of a course on gender equity at a university for seventeen years. I consider recursively the possibility of education to create a society with gender equity through my own practice, a part of one course, and reactions of students, especially ‘resistance’ and ‘repulsion’ to gender studies. I focus on a part of this course that addresses sexuality, especially sexual violence and commercialization of sex. On the one hand, I emphasize the ‘victimity’ of those who undergo sexual violence and are involved to prostitution, and on the other hand, I point out the importance of ‘subjectivity’ for self-determination in sexual behavior. The most important issue is in teaching the problem of sexual behavior in my class is to confirm some points to keep in mind before debating ‘self-determination’ and ‘selfresponsibility’. There are: 1) to secure the ‘subjectivity’ that one builds through education and experience, 2) to secure other choices, include ones to not done, 3) to secure to be not discriminated by any choice. Nevertheless, some male students cannot understand this assertion, and they often blame females who have even been victims of sexual violence for ‘self-responsibility’. It is the most difficult point for me to accept their ‘resistance’ and ‘repulsion’ and understand their reason of their reaction. Although through my effort to consider background of their ‘resistance’ and ‘repulsion’, the possibility of education for gender equity society increases.
