Note (General): 金融商品取引法では,IPO 企業の経営者による株式売却禁止期間が定められている. 本研究では,IPO 後の最初の決算期が, その期間内か否かに着目し,IPO をめぐる経営者の利益操作と株式市場の反応について検証を行った. 結論は, 次のとおりである.IPO 後の最初の決算期がその期間内にある企業については, 企業年齢と監査法人の規模が裁量的アクルーアルを抑制し, そうでない企業については, これらの要因に関係なく, 裁量的アクルーアルが計上される. そして市場は,IPO 直後には一時的に裁量的アクルーアルに誤導されるが, それは持続しない. 長期的に市場が評価するのは, 経営者がIPO 後も株式を継続保有しようとする態度である.
