Note (General): パナソニックがプラズマテレビ事業からの撤退を発表した。本研究ではパナソニックの中村改革以降を中心とした事例分析を通して、プラズマ事業の失敗の原因について読み解くことを目的とした。事例分析は、主にパナソニックの有価証券報告書・説明会資料・社史、新聞・雑誌の記事、書籍等を参考にして、テレビ事業を中心に整理を行った。事例分析の結果、中村改革後のパナソニックには『中村邦夫の権威』と『中村邦夫・プラズマテレビの偶像化』、『成功ロジックへの固執』が確認できた。そして、これら 3 つの要素の関係性から、今回の失敗の大きな要因は「偶像化による感知力の深刻な低下」であると言える。
