大阪大学大学院工学研究科の清野智史准教授、大久保雄司助教らの研究グループは、樹脂素材（プラスチック）の表面に銀ナノ粒子を直接固定化することで、優れた抗菌性能/抗ウイルス性能を付与する技術を開発しました。量子ビーム科学とナノテクノロジーを融合した技術により、樹脂素材表面への銀ナノ粒子の直接固定化を実現しました。工業的に利用されている量子ビーム源を使用しているので、大量生産への技術展開も十分に可能です。公的機関が実施する抗微生物試験において、新型コロナウイルスに対しても優れた抗ウイルス性能を発揮することも確認されています。感染症拡大防止の一助となると期待されます。
