- はじめに 長居植物園を中心にして、長居公園には多数の樹種が植栽されています。これらの樹木を利用し、自然史博物館では、植物園案内などの観察会を催してきました。そのとき、これらの樹木リストおよび基本的解説をした本があれば便利だと感じたことがしばしばありました。ミニガイドNo.4「大阪の街路樹」や、この「長居公園の樹木」シリーズは、長居公園に植えられている樹木の基本的解説をめざしたものです。適当なまとまりがつけられるものを集めて、分冊として出版し、いずれ、長居公園の樹木の全種の解説書となるように編集していく予定です。「長居公園の樹木1」は、日本産のブナ科植物を取り上げました。日本産の大部分の種類が植栽されており、よく似た種類も多いので、その区別点にも触れています。 樹木を管理されている長居植物園および大阪市花と緑推進本部南部方面公園事務所の方々に、この場を借りてお礼申し上げます。 目次 ブナ科 マテバシイ シリブカガシ クリ シイ コナラ属 コナラ ナラガシワ カシワ クヌギとアベマキ ウバメガシ ナラとカシ アカガシ アラカシ シラカシ ウラジロガシ イチイガシ どんぐりの発芽 どんぐりを食べる昆虫
