Note (General): Introduction: Fuel cells technology has attracted much attention owing to their high conversion efficiency in chemical energy to electrical energy with simple structures, clean emissions, insignificant scale effect, etc. The theoretical conversion efficiency of a typical proton exchange membrane fuel cell operating H_2 and O_2 as a fuel and oxidant, respectively, reaches ~40%. Other than H_2/O_2 fuel cells, various types of organic chemicals including hydrocarbons, alcohols, aldehydes and hydrocarbons, are potential fuels for operating fuel cells....
